During the audition: After getting notified that there was a short film audition, I immediately signed up to audition for one of the dancers. I was asked to show one dance performance during the audition. I was practicing my Dala Dala by ITZY for a talent show, so I practiced that dance. It was the day of the audition. Today’s one is the very first person-to-person audition. In the room, according to other girls who had already auditioned, there were two judges: one was the main director, and the other was the sub-director. There were a total of six girls I saw in the place. I thought there would be more than that, so PHEW for that one. As soon as I entered the room, I went in with the biggest smile. They also smiled back, so I thought that this audition was not as strict as I thought it would be. They asked, “Can you do a short introduction and show us your dance?” I did my introduction like I do in any other audition videos, and then I told them the dance I was going to audition with. I started dancing very powerfully. After the dance, I sat on this chair, and they asked me one question, “What do you do during the break?” I replied, “Oh! I don’t think that is a break for me since I attend a foreign school! BUT I am willing to participate no matter what!!” That was it. I was done. Why were they asking little questions? From then, my back and everything started to slouch. It’s okay! This was my first audition, of course it would be weird to just magically get the posi- I got it. I got the dancer position. When I received the call from one of the directors, I immediately ran around the entire house, and before I even told everyone, they already knew from my reaction.
During practices: Out of 70 actresses, I got selected. Only seven girls were admitted. Today was one of the dance practices. I entered one of the Korean universities and got lost for about 15 minutes, but I got there safely. We learned the dance in two hours, and surprisingly, it was not hard at all. I returned back home and practiced the dances. Another practice occurred in the same place. This time, we looked like an actual idol. We were so ready to film now.
During filming: The filming day was separated into two. One being in one of the random practice rooms and one being in the actual performances. In the practice room, it was the scene where the other actors were fighting, and other dancers were just practicing. During this day, my right eye became extremely red, so during the entire day, I had to survive without my glasses; in other words, I was nearly blind during the entire filming session. This was one of the skills I learned: how to survive without my glasses. Usually, I would wear contact lenses, but if I did, my eyes would’ve popped. Although it was uncomfortable, I was still able to move around as if I could view everything. During the filming session, when we actually performed our dance, there were about 40+ extras in front of us. We first took the stretching scene where the extras were walking past by our backs. After that, we started our performance. We performed in front of 40+ extras about 12 times. We successfully ended the film and had the best pork belly together.
