23.2.3
After continuous planning, I finally participated in the fourth outing. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for this moment to come since I really do enjoy these outings. As usual, the members gathered earlier to discuss the overall schedule for today. Today, we are playing some board games, some activities (e.g., red light, green light, and drawing body parts on a poster), playing soccer, and walking around the school campus. Our schedule was packed today. After the short discussion, the EBR notified them that they were there. About five people went down to the gate to help them navigate them, and I was one of them. As soon as I met the EBR men, each of them immediately selected people to hold hands with and walk to the middle school. Due to the many stairs and steep ground, the member’s job was especially important. Two of the EBR men were on both sides of me, which I helped them walk to the designated area. We arrived at the middle school, and we started with our first activity: board games. We played for an hour, rotating tables every 15 minutes. We soon moved to the next activity, which was playing soccer. The EBR men absolutely LOVE playing soccer, and I was glad that I have skills remaining in my body to help them enjoy it more. After playing for about an hour, we went to the high school MPR to play some activities. Today was another cherishable experience. I love these outings due to the fact how much positivity and happiness these small actions, such as being with them and playing any activities, may bring into their life!
