Today’s filming is a unique one: I wore a traditional Korean Hanbok. Finally, I mean, for the first time, I am going to a set that is made for historical dramas. I was always intrigued by where and how these types of dramas are set. As soon as I arrived at the set, I was told to go into one of the large trucks. There, bright white lighting with thousands of make-up and hair products were welcoming me. I couldn’t hide my amusement. One of the advantages of these types of drama is that, even for extras, everyone gets to have their hair done. Since the setting of the drama is about centuries ago, everyone had to look as if they belonged to that environment. It was finally my turn. I walked into the truck as this girl with slim and silky hair walked past me. I was just too EXCITED. I sat in this boogie chair that the famous actors would sit in and began my hair. Yes, it was painful, but beauty is pain. During my hair styling, I heard a conversation next to me. The person who sat next to me was one of the famous actors in the drama. Although I did not notice this actress, I was careless. For some reason, my self-esteem wouldn’t allow me to acknowledge and act like I saw a famous actress since, mostly, their personality is… Today’s scene was where the extras were sleeping, and the main actress stayed up and acted. I went to the set and noticed that there were three more than me, including one extra like me, one person with a minor role, and the main actress. It was a scene where we all acted like we were sleeping. Apparently, my stomach was hungry. I remember feeding it, but apparently, it is hungry again. We are lying down, and the set is quiet except for this little dude. I close my eyes, trying not to flinch whenever my little boy grumbles. It was too embarrassing. I was worried whether my stomach was the reason why it was a cut. The sub-director told the person next to me to put their hand on my stomach. I am not sure whether that was intentional, but that made it worse. I bet she would have felt all the vibration. Later, I noticed that the person next to me was the minor actress. After today’s film, I made an embarrassing face, where she also made one too. From there, we became close, exchanging our age. Today was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life. However, I am so glad that I was able to be involved in historical dramas!
