During the filming process: After a short meeting with the director, we started the filming when I realized that we were given one day, ONE DAY, I knew exactly what to do: rapid and efficient, but uplifting and positive. I had 16 scenes to film, ONE DAY, I never knew how short a day was. We started filming the first scene (in the video would be the scene where I looked at my sister’s work in the middle of the night) at 4 AM in the morning. At first, it was a bit awkward in front of the staff I would work for the entire day. It is not that rare to have filming sessions this early in the morning for the staff; nonetheless, they looked dead. After a few cuts, I started waking up and displayed a more vivid personality. From there, the laughter in the set arised. The sun rose and I filmed the scene where I had to ride a bike with my sister behind my back. Somehow, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t balance the bike with someone else behind me. I couldn’t let this disappoint the staff, so I tried about 20 times. However, after realizing that this is impossible, we decided to ride the bike alone. Apparently, they gave up from the 5th try, but I was still attempting it, which they mentioned how resilient and persistent. The heat. The heat destroyed my facial expressions. I couldn’t really have any energy to move my face, so one scene took more than seven tries. However, I was still able to accomplish it by the end with my sweaty face, where I was barely able to see the front. At this point, all of us became extremely close. When we were on a roll, of course, all the goofiness vanished, but during the trip to another set, we were limitless in making jokes and laughter. Another memorable scene was the scene that I took at 1 AM. Yes, it has officially become the next day, and I am still filming. Although my eyes were barely opening, it was a scene that required full focus, and full energy from my acting skills. It was when I had to act as if I was eager to find the internet for my sister. Honestly, I don’t really remember most of the moments since I think I fell asleep at that point. However, one of the most memorable parts was when I happily danced with my sister. This was the only area I could fully portray my actual personality. If you watch the last few seconds, you can see me dancing like a weirdo. Yes, that is me. That was one of the only scenes in the advertisement where I could express my true personality.
During the recording process: For about four attempts, I was able to successfully complete the recording. One memorable time was when the director loved the part where I made a mistake. Specifically, I made a mistake by the end and I smirked. Apparently, that sounded natural! So, we decided to use this. Honestly, I was very skeptical of the choices he made since I sounded very fake, but well, let’s trust him!
When watching the advertisement: About a week later, I was able to watch my advertisement that played on the TV for 15 seconds. As soon as I recognized the familiar music that I heard during the recording process, my eyes enlarged, my ears expanded, and I stopped all the actions. It was the cringy me on the TV. Hearing me talk through the TV, I knew I had accomplished another step in my acting career. I felt various emotions: starting from surprise to embarrassment to proudness. All the memories from the filming process flashed within 15 seconds. This advertisement is my favorite, and it is similar to my E-numbering advertisement. Anyways, another success!!
